우리의 사명
미주한인회(KAA)는 한인 소유 기업이 자신이 속한 커뮤니티에서 성공할 수 있도록 돕는 단 하나의 목적으로 존재합니다. 한인 기업이 성장하면 한인 가정, 전문직 종사자, 신규 이주민도 함께 성장합니다. 우리는 실용적인 도구, 실질적인 전문 지식, 그리고 측정 가능한 결과를 제공합니다. 직함, 형식적인 행사, 말뿐인 약속은 다루지 않습니다.
우리가 존재하는 이유
전국적으로 너무 많은 한인 단체들이 겉모습을 리더십으로 착각해 왔습니다. 이들은 연회, 직함, 공직자와의 사진 촬영, 그리고 임기마다 반복되는 상투적인 공약으로 성공을 평가합니다. 그 사이, 미국 고객에게 다가가려는 자영업자, 생소한 언어로 보험 청구와 싸우는 가족, 낯선 시스템 속에서 길을 잃은 신규 이주민은 스스로 문제를 해결하도록 방치되어 있습니다.
상징적인 리더십은 리더십이 아닙니다. KAA는 우리 커뮤니티가 단순한 겉치레보다 더 나은 대우를 받을 자격이 있기에 존재합니다.
우리가 추구하는 가치
- 의식보다 결과. 우리는 우리가 가진 직책이 아니라 우리가 해결하는 문제로 평가받습니다.
- 비즈니스 우선. 비즈니스 개발, 온·오프라인 마케팅, 컨설팅, 규제 대응, 법률 자원 제공. 이것이야말로 한인 기업가가 단순히 생존하는 것을 넘어 시장을 선도하는 데 필요한 도구입니다.
- 실질적인 정보. 이민, 인허가, 세금, 고용 등 미국 내 운영에 관한 최신의 신뢰할 수 있는 지침을 제공합니다. 이는 사람들이 실제로 활용할 수 있는 정보입니다.
- 독립성. 우리는 재정을 자립으로 운영하며 줄어드는 후원금 기금을 두고 경쟁하지 않습니다. 우리는 후원 이사회나 내부자 집단이 아닌, 커뮤니티에 책임을 다합니다.
- 신뢰의 획득. 신뢰는 전임자로부터 물려받거나 직함에 의해 부여되는 것이 아닙니다. 투명한 소통, 정직한 회계, 누구나 검증할 수 있는 실적을 통해 얻어집니다. 우리는 스스로에게 엄격한 기준을 적용하며, 커뮤니티를 위해 봉사한다고 자부하는 모든 단체에도 동일한 기준을 기대합니다.
우리의 약속
우리는 경쟁하거나, 인정을 수집하거나, 소수의 특정 인맥끼리 리더십을 주고받기 위해 이곳에 있는 것이 아닙니다. 우리는 말만 믿어달라고 요구하지 않고, 지속적이고 투명하게 맡은 일을 해내기 위해 존재합니다.
KAA는 문제를 해결하기 위해 존재합니다. 그것이 전부이며, 그것으로 충분합니다.

Our Mission
The Korean American Association (KAA) exists for one purpose: to help Korean-owned businesses succeed in the communities they serve. When Korean businesses grow, Korean families, professionals, and newcomers grow with them. We deliver practical tools, real expertise, and measurable results. We do not deal in titles, ceremonies, or promises.
Why We Exist
Across the country, too many Korean community organizations have mistaken appearance for leadership. They measure success by banquets, titles, photos with elected officials, and the same promises recycled every term. Meanwhile, the entrepreneur trying to reach American customers, the family fighting an insurance claim in a second language, and the newcomer lost in an unfamiliar system are left to figure it out alone.
Symbolic leadership is not leadership. KAA exists because our communities deserve better than appearances.
What We Stand For
- Results over rituals. We are judged by the problems we solve, not the positions we hold.
- Businesses first. Business development, online and offline marketing, consulting, regulatory navigation, and legal resources. These are the tools Korean entrepreneurs need to lead their markets, not just survive in them.
- Real information. Current, reliable guidance on operating in America, including immigration, licensing, taxes, and employment. It is information people can actually use.
- Independence. We are self-funded and do not compete for the same shrinking donor pool. We answer to the community, not to a donor board or a circle of insiders.
- Earned trust. Trust is not inherited from a predecessor or conferred by a title. It is earned through open communication, honest accounting, and a record anyone can examine. We hold ourselves to that standard, and we expect the same of every organization that claims to serve our community.
Our Promise
We are not here to compete, collect recognition, or pass leadership around the same small circle. We are here to do the work, consistently and transparently, without asking anyone to take our word for it.
KAA exists to solve problems. That is all. And that is enough.
